| 1. | Read Scenes 1 and 2 in a group. Ask pupils what they have found out about Laura. Why did her dad say that the lie detector was not a good joke? |
| 2. | Talk about Gemma. Find examples in the play of when she told lies. Suggest reasons for the lies. Do pupils like Gemma? What was her generous action at the end of the play? |
| 3. | Pupils write five or six sentences describing Laura and her actions, and read their sentences to the group. Ask them whether they think Laura knew she was being unkind, and to find evidence in the text for their answers. |
